This publication aims to support investigators in communicating results of human biomonitoring (HBM) studies to decision-makers, study participants and the public. It outlines the key points that should be considered from the study planning phase onwards to ensure effective communication and provides a checklist to facilitate application. The publication is based on information available from different sources and valuable input from international experts in HBM who shared experience in communication of HBM results.
